Bookings

When booking group classes, one to one package or one to one session, full payment is required at the time of booking online or in person. Dates for one to one training sessions are arranged by mutual agreement between the Client and A Pawsitive Step Dog Training & Behaviour. These dates will be agreed upon completion of the booking. The cancellation period is a ‘Cooling Off’ period of 14 days from the day on which the booking was made (not when Dog training for any of the services offered by A Pawsitive Step, is scheduled to start.) Any cancellations made within 14 days of initial booking but are more than 14 days before the service starts, are entitled to a full refund.

All one to one sessions booked must be attended within a 6 week period of booking and payment. No refunds will be given if any of the sessions are either held outside the six week period from the point of booking or if the Client changes the dates more than once without express permission of A Pawsitive Step Dog Training & Behaviour. If the Client attending One 2 One sessions or Group Classes at any point, changes their mind about the sessions and feels they are not suitable fit for their Dog or just doesn't wish to attend again,  even after the first session has been held, no refund will be given.

Safety

Dogs – We kindly ask that you do not book any dog that you know is highly reactive or aggressive to one of our group classes. If you do book your reactive dog knowingly onto one of our classes, you will be asked to leave and no refund will be given.

If you are unsure please do contact us to assess your dog to see if classes are the best option for your dog, one to one sessions may be more appropriate.

We kindly ask that any dog in season does not attend group classes.

You are responsible for your dog at all times, all dogs should be kept on a lead and near the owners at all time unless training off lead is instructed.

Children

We believe the whole family should participate in dog training and welcome children to the class of 5 and over. Please ensure all children do respect other clients and dogs and their training space.

We hope that the children do not disrupt the class learning, we reserve the right to ask that any child that is disrupting a class not attend further classes.

A Pawsitive Step accepts no responsibility for the children attending the training classes. It is always the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure the child’s safety.

Please always follow all the trainer’s instructions, do not use any equipment provided unless instructed to do so.

In the unlikely event an accident should occur, report to the trainer immediately.

Health and Welfare

A Pawisitive Step regards dog health as paramount to the success of the training. If, for whatever reason, A Pawsitive Step feels it's inappropriate for your Dog to undertake the training, we will advise as such. A Pawsitive Step will discuss the reasoning behind the decision directly with the owners either face to face, over the phone or via email. We ask that all Puppies are vaccinated in line with Vet's guidance. Puppy Class attendees should have had their Puppy vaccinated with their first vaccination as a minimum. If necessary, proof may be required.

The facility used is part of a working, arable farm. It is a grainstore and A Pawsitive Step does not have sole access to the property. We do not haver priority over the facility and from time to time, may need to move to an area within the farm other than the Grainstore itself. Assessment is carried out before each class and clients informed at the time of any adverse situations that need to be made aware of. Please be aware that you will need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and follow the advice given in writing or over the phone, as to what to bring in order to keep your puppy or dog safe.

If your dog is unwell please do contact us to assess the situation, if we feel the dog may pass on infections to the other attendees, we reserve the right to ask you not to attend.

If you dog has food allergies, please let the trainer know, we may need to adjust any treats the trainer uses within the class/sessions.

It is the dog owner’s full responsibility to ensure their dog is fit and well to attend one to one sessions or classes.
